San Diego's federally-licensed and insured cross-border pet courier

Meet the Team

When you choose MexiVet Express as your pet courier you are gaining access to the research we’ve done regarding the various clinics in northern Baja. We’ve formed relationships with the clinics over time and have trusted them with our own pets.

You can confidently know that your pet will be paired with the best clinic for their needs and will be loved on every step of the way by our caring staff.

MexiVet Owner.JPG

Anna Ginsky, M.En. - Owner, ADmin, & cameo driver

Anna was born and raised in San Diego. She moved to Ohio for undergraduate and graduate school. She holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from Miami University (of Ohio). After graduating, she moved back to San Diego and worked in Balboa Park as a Sustainability Manager developing and managing sustainability programs in the park. It was in that role she realized San Diego residents could greatly benefit from a trusted medical tourism service for their pets as vet care for her was unaffordable and must have been for others too.

And with that, MexiVet Express was born!

In her free time you can find Anna riding her bike in the new bike lanes around University Heights to Balboa Park to downtown. She likes to read, cook, and travel. She’s probably better than you at playing pool and frisbee. And she loves singing to her children: Coco, Pepe, and Chango.

Ashley & Lucy (one of her many pets)

ashley - lead Scheduling Coordinator

Originally from Costa Rica, Ashley is a civil engineer with a background in environmental engineering, giving her a deep devotion to sustainability and animal welfare. Inspired by her family’s experience rescuing and caring for stray animals, including around 25 dogs, a few cats, and even beloved pet turkeys, she is passionate about affordable pet care.

Having lived in Costa Rica, Spain, the USA, and Morocco, Ashley’s diverse experiences have shaped her adaptability and global perspective. As an Administrative Assistant at MexiVet Express, she is responsible for scheduling pets for care and helping coordinate with clinics.

In her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and reading.

Ben - Driver

Ben brings hands-on experience managing a delivery team. That role sharpened his communication skills, customer service instincts, and eye for detail, skills that translate directly into caring for MexiVet's clients and their pets.

Ben has been caring for four stray dogs in front of his home: a mama dog, her two pups, and a loyal friend who tags along with them. He's hoping to move somewhere pet-friendly soon so he can bring them home for good.

He loves seeing pet parents feel confident handing over their pup, knowing the team will bring them home safe, and being able to walk owners through the process to give them peace of mind throughout the day.

In his spare time, you'll find Ben running and staying active.

CArmen - lead Billing Coordinator

Carmen has two pups: Mars, a schnoodle she’s had since puppyhood, and Saturn, a “backyard experiment,” as she lovingly calls him.

When Mars was hit by a car, Carmen quickly learned how expensive vet bills in the U.S. can be. With what she invested in his recovery, she says she could have bought a car.

She rescued Saturn from a bad owner who bought him from a backyard breeder. Severely underweight and all bones, thanks to her he is now a happy, healthy, and talkative guy. With what she invested in his care, she says she could have bought a high-end e-bike.

Carmen is passionate about helping pawrents access affordable care for their pets so that they can make the most of their time together.

Cindy & Cola

Cindy - Admin

Cindy is based in Los Angeles and shares her home with Cola, an elderly dachshund who's been by her side since middle school. Cindy’s background is in customer service, customer success, and technical support, working with people across phone, email, chat, and video. That experience shaped her communication and problem-solving skills and taught her how to adapt to all kinds of needs and situations. In her spare time, Cindy loves spending quiet moments at home caring for Cola, whether that's a walk or simply keeping him company.

Eric & Boo

Eric - Driver

Eric grew up in Agoura Hills and Simi Valley, California, before making the move to Tijuana/Rosarito over ten years ago. Before joining MexiVet Express, he worked in management, was a legal representative for production facilities in Baja California, and spent time on the road driving for touring Mexican music artists, an experience that taught him to expect the unexpected. These days his favorite passengers have four legs, and he loves getting to know the personality of every dog and cat that rides along, constantly talking to them and singing to them. At home his ten year old rescue calico cat, Boo, is the boss. When he's not on the road, Eric is a proud homebody who likes experimenting with new recipes, meditating, and making music. Whether a pet is a first-time traveler or a seasoned road warrior, Eric considers it a privilege to earn their trust and help make the journey as safe, comfortable, and stress-free as possible.

Eugenio - Driver

Eugenio has been crossing the border since he was born, whether for school or work, and enjoys driving around his home town of Tijuana. Before joining MexiVet Express, he worked as a K-5th grade teacher, which gave him plenty of experience connecting with people, and he was looking for a job that would leave him feeling fulfilled at the end of the day. Animals have always been a large part of his life and has six pets, two Bengal cats, a Sphynx, a King German Shepherd, a Schnauzer, and a street dog mix. You can find him spending his free time napping with his cats.

Florencia & Molly

Florencia - lead Estimate Coordinator

Florencia, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, now calls Miami Beach, Florida, home. Her travels across Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico, and Peru have deepened her appreciation for nature and diverse cultures. With seven years of experience as an optician, she later shifted to the administrative field, where she has continued to excel. A proud mom to her two poodles, Molly and Perla, Florencia loves spending time with her furry babies, enjoying playtime and offering them plenty of love. In her free time, she finds joy in reading, running, and immersing herself in nature.

Jocelyn - Billing

Jocelyn found her way to MexiVet Express while transitioning from the military to civilian life. Overseeing more than 100 soldiers taught her how to adapt quickly and stay steady under pressure, skills that translate directly to working with clients who just want the very best for their pets.

She and her husband relocated their family to Chicago at the start of the year. Jocelyn has got her hands full with toddlers these days, and her hobbies are pretty simple: sleep and relax.

Rebeca - ADMIN

Rebeca moved to San Diego as a child and now spends her time between San Diego and Tijuana. She has 4 rescue dogs. Ice, 9 yr old Pitbull- sweet, loving, playful and adorable. Fang, 7 month old Pitbull- energetic, loving, sweet, and a ball of energy. Nina, 10 yr old Chihuahua Mix- loving, sweet, gentle and cranky at times. Rose, special needs chihuahua terrier mix- spunky, loud, crazy, sweet. She has past experience working with different rescues on each side of the border. You can often find Rebeca exploring coffee shops with her dogs.

Rebeca and baby Fang!

Sakura & Mochi

Sakura - ADMIN

Sakura joined MexiVet Express right out of high school and has been part of the team for two years now, working evening shifts while attending community college. Before she was an employee, she was a client. Shortly after adopting her three cats, one of them stopped eating and using the litter box. She reached out to Anna in the middle of the night, and by 7am a MexiVet driver was already at her door. It turned out her kitten had fleas and worms — after treatment, he made a full recovery and is now a big, healthy, happy cat. As a broke college student with three cats of her own, Sakura knows firsthand how expensive vet care can be, and having experienced MexiVet's help as both client and employee, she loves being able to pass that help on to others.

Steph - Driver

Born in Coronado and raised for most of her childhood in Michoacán, Mexico, Steph moved back to San Diego in 2024 after living abroad for school. She holds a Bachelor's in Psychology and has spent 8 years as a certified dog trainer, with some doggie daycare experience along the way.

Her dog Sophie, a Cocker Spaniel, is technically her mom's — but Steph trained her, and is convinced they were sisters in a past life. Sophie doubles as her demo dog for training sessions, thanks to her easygoing social skills with other dogs.

Steph is looking forward to growing closer to the MexiVet team, and to meeting all the cute pups, kitties, and the kind people who love them. Outside of dog training, she spends her weekends painting Warhammer figures, fencing, doing photography, and cosplaying.

Yvette & Buddha

Yvette - Marketing Strategist

Yvette is born and raised in San Diego. You can often find her outside playing water tag with her corgi named Buddha. He's 4 years old and extremely handsome. When she’s not busy with MexiVet Express she’s usually playing tennis, golf, writing or traveling.
